THE seriousness of fun
In this technological age we are bombarded from all sides testing our every pressure point - deadlines, check-ins, meetings about meetings, pitching new opportunities and on top of of this we are an idea solution-based business that thrives on creativity -
so can we not have a little fun while we decide which wire we need to cut - red or green?!?
Below I have compiled a few questions and answers to give additional insights into my brand -
something to save a time and maybe one less call in the process.
I’m considerate like that.

This is a big ‘n as remote roles are not for everyone. Especially in a leadership capacity. I am remote proven - I have been since 2020. I have a unique style that blends seamlessly with distance and culture.
-
Yes I am!!! Some of my life-long friends started off as clients. They have been upgraded to good friends and industry advisors.
-
A majority of my success is because of phenomenal strategies. I normally love working directly with a strategist to help co-author the brief or at the very least look it over to make sure it clearly translates into ‘Creative speak’ so the teams know exactly where to dig.
-
I wholeheartedly believe that an idea can come from anyone. In my opinion everyone is creative. I champion great ideas - I do not defend them - a good idea can stand on its own many legs.

Stop sucking for 15 minutes.
I kid. Awards are a touchy subject in our business. To me, awards are a result of great strategic thinking. So yes, I celebrate awards but I do not live or die by them. They are a byproduct of smart creative and even smarter clients. -
More than anything else, be flexible. Creatives hate change but ironically change is where the ideas are hiding. New account, new partner, new brief, new deadline, new brief - you get the idea.

This is a pet peeve of mine. Well, next to being on time RSVP’ing is a thing. Meaning “Please Respond” I believe one should respond quickly to an email. This seems silly but it is important when people are waiting on your approval for something, input on a project or a head count for happy hour. It shows you are engaged. Alex Bogusky would respond to every email ever sent to him. I know this because that is how I got a job at CP+B.

Yes. Let’s talk!

I’m in the continental United States and I can adapt to any time zone for remote, freelance OR full-time work. I have done PST/MST/CST and EST. I am in the middle of the map-ish so getting up early or working late does not matter one bit. Hybrid? Let’s talk. I would relocate if it is love at first Zoom.

I am a Creative Director but I do flex up or down depending on the needs. Flex up and I bring my experience as a creative leader to mentor and lead for heavy lifts or I can flex down to being a hired gun/creator that partners with a writer and just generates ideas.
-
I absolutely do. One of the perks of having worked at some A-level shops in this biz (and being a good human - this one is important) I have collected some amazing friends and allows for a deep bench of talent to choose from. It depends on the project, tone and brands needs. I also adapt easily and can partner with imbedded creatives to make a set. Or sold separately. Whew, outta breath.

YES, I am and I’m not talking rizz or current lingo. Social First, Community Management, Content Creation, Channel Oversight. It is all wrapped into everything we do and I truly believe a stellar idea can survive/thrive in ANY medium. Just point me to the platform and look out!
-
This all depends on my current availability. If I am immersed in a project we can discuss a projected wrap date and potential start date. Like any gig, at the very least, I would need to give 2 weeks depending on what I am scrapping with.

I get this a TON - I embrace it. It will eliminate some redundant roles and streamline how we do business on multiple levels but in the end you will still need that creative eye and that infusion of human emotion and insights. I still write and art direct from the soul, not the from the server.
